Our Story---The Good Stuff!
Tomboy's President, 15 year-old fashionista, is the mastermind behind the idea of organic skin care for outdoor women. A freshman in high school, she is class President, on the student council, a member of the basketball team, manager of the football team, not to mention class favorite, and all the while maintaining a 4.0 GPA. She has spent many a school night designing labels and readying the company for festivals. And it is her face that you see on the website promoting beautiful clear skin while at the height of puberty. She is the daughter.
Tomboy's creator is a high school science teacher, herbalist, conservationist and adrenaline junkie with degrees in Wildlife Biology, Fisheries, Forestry and Education. It all started in her classroom where she taught her students to make Poison Ivy remedy out of wildcrafted herbs. Seeking out her favorite adventures--whitewater kayaking, cycling, running and snowboarding--she applied her ideas and products to all her friends to create this new line of healing organic products especially for the eco-conscious outdoor-girl. She is the mom.
As you review our ingredient list, you will NOT find any synthetic preservatives, colorants, fillers, alcohol or perfumes. Ingredients such as petroleum, lanolin, propylene glycol, the paraben family, artificial colors, or anything you cannot pronounce(chloromethylisothiazolinone).
Our definition of organic is "Harvested from nature without the use of synthetic pesticides or chemical fertilizers." The ingredients we use are naturally occurring, sun-dried, and completely untreated. The herbs are grown on our farm biodynamically or wildcrafted along our river.
We use only Pete 1 plastics, tins, or newspaper for packaging our products because they are recyclable and are the safest choice for you and the environment.
We call our products the Good Stuff because our ingredients are healers….. of earth & humanity!
